How to read a shilajit lab report
A step-by-step way to understand the sample, the units and the small print.

The useful takeaway
A certificate describes a tested sample. First establish whether that sample represents your batch.
1. Identify the document
Start with the laboratory name, report number, issue date and sample description. These details make a result traceable. A logo cropped from a report cannot tell you what was tested or when. Keep the complete document available beside any chart.
2. Match the sample
Check for a lot or batch identifier and ask the seller how it maps to the product you are buying. Our existing store-linked report identifies 'Shilajit Mumijo Resin' and sample 24726801. The chemistry page uses 24726801C. We label it archived because a current Himalayan Life batch connection has not been confirmed.
3. Keep the units
A concentration stated in mg/kg is not a number of milligrams in a serving. Comparing a mg/kg result with a microgram-per-day limit without converting the units can be misleading. A chart should display its units, scale and any qualification directly beside the result.
4. Respect the less-than sign
A result such as '<0.0017 mg/kg' is reported below a stated threshold. It is not the same as an exact measurement of zero. Keep that qualifier when quoting or plotting the result; our explorer marks it explicitly.
5. Read the scope
A heavy-metals panel, microbial panel and pesticide screen examine different things. A long appendix may list the substances included in a method rather than a positive detection for every row. Check where actual results appear and where the method list begins.
6. Avoid a bigger conclusion than the report
Testing does not establish effectiveness, a specific geographic origin or the absence of every possible contaminant. Any pass/fail judgment needs an applicable specification and context. Our charts summarize reported values without inventing a universal safety line.
