Shilajit and training: what was actually measured?
A closer look at exercise research and the gap between a laboratory task and your training plan.

The useful takeaway
A study of fatigue-related strength retention is not proof of faster recovery from every workout.
The study in brief
A 2019 randomized study included 63 recreationally active men for eight weeks. It compared two doses of PrimaVie shilajit with placebo. A reported strength-retention benefit concerned the stronger half of participants after a specific fatiguing exercise protocol; it should not be generalized to everyone or every performance measure.
Why the task matters
A controlled laboratory exercise is designed to measure a particular response. It is not the same as a race result, a personal record or recovery after an injury. Read the exact endpoint before translating it into a training claim.
Keep recovery fundamentals visible
A supplement does not replace an appropriate training load, nutrition, rest or professional advice about pain and injury. If you are under-recovering, examine the whole routine rather than assuming a single missing ingredient.
Do not adopt a study dose automatically
The study used a specified preparation. Its dose is reported for context, not as instructions for the resin or honey products in this store. Follow the label and consider individual suitability.
Track meaningful information
If you keep a training log, record workload, sleep, food and any supplements together. A change in one workout is difficult to interpret in isolation. Do not claim a causal effect from a single personal before-and-after comparison.
For competitive athletes
Check the rules that apply to your sport and the exact product's current testing documentation. A general heavy-metals report is not an anti-doping certification. We do not present it as one.
Healthy habits, made practical
